Overview

SiftDo ("we", "our", "the app") is a personal finance application built by SiftDo LLC. We believe your financial data is deeply personal. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it.

Data That Stays on Your Device

Your financial transactions, categories, tags, and rules are stored locally on your device. We do not have access to this data. We cannot read, sell, or share your transaction data because we never receive it.

If you enable multi-device sync (Pro/Family), your data is synced via Apple iCloud (CloudKit). This data is encrypted and managed by Apple under their privacy policy. We do not operate the sync servers.

Data We Collect

Account information: When you purchase a subscription, RevenueCat (our payment processor) creates an anonymous user ID. We do not collect your name, email, or personal details unless you contact support.
Payment information: Payments are processed by Stripe via RevenueCat. We never see or store your credit card number. Stripe handles all payment data under their PCI-compliant infrastructure.
Crash reports: If the app crashes, anonymous diagnostic data (stack traces, device type, OS version) may be sent to help us fix bugs. No financial data is included.

Bank Connect (Plaid)

If you opt into Bank Connect, your bank credentials are handled entirely by Plaid Inc. We never see your bank login. Plaid retrieves your transactions and passes them to the app on your device. See Plaid's privacy policy for details.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. We only share data with the service providers listed above, strictly for the purpose of operating the app.

Data Retention

Your financial data lives on your device (and iCloud if sync is enabled). If you delete the app, your local data is deleted. iCloud data can be managed through your Apple ID settings.

Subscription records are retained by RevenueCat/Stripe for accounting and legal purposes.

Children's Privacy

SiftDo is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
